They replaced doors that were damaged during a burglary. This is the third time I've had Window Installation Specialists of Pittsburgh work at our home. They had the window and door products that I wanted for our home at a price that I know was perfect. No jockeying around. This is the price, the end. The workmanship was excellent. It has been six years that I have worked with Bill and Melissa on three projects. I feel that I can call WISP and know that I will not be disappointed. Even during a Christmas emergency they answered my call. You don't find companies that are concerned and as helpful as the owners of WISP. They have my recommendation and thanks for beautiful windows and doors.

Full home window replacement. Patio door replacement, Entry door replacement, Cut-out two new window openings. Removed a rotting 2nd story balcony and patio door, framed out the opening and added a new window.

I cannot say enough about Bill & Melinda's work here, Bill & the crew did everything in a week and left our home in a better state then they found it!

Starting with the bid phase, we thought we would have to swallow a propsal of over $25k to get all wood windows and doors; however, Melissa told us not to get discouraged and walked us through what we wanted before picking word, vinyl or fiberglass window units. Turned out she got us a package, with a patio door and entry door, that was less than some companies wanted for just a set of vinyl windows.

Installation was a breeze. Bill's crew originally drew some lines of responsibility (I had to demo the old balcony), but they had pity on me and helped finish it off. They also left some tools overnight so I could make headway on some of the siding repairs that were not part of the contract.

It has been a winter and a summer since we had the installation work done. Over the past year we've been able to vent our house (the old windows didn't have screens) and keep the heating and air conditioning running at a much more reasonable cost. Overall, their handiwork has held up, looks great, and I have openly recommended them to friends and coworkers.

WIS provided the best price after we shopped around various Angies list providers. We had 16 Marvin windows installed in older (1920s) home including two bays; they look great. Feels a lot less drafty too.

Bill and Melissa run this family business. Very low key. Aside from best price, they were also low/no pressure. they let product sell itself. A nice contrast to some reps from other providers. Crew of five worked together well; friendly and considerate. Very happy with results, altho didn't realize there would be inside painting, touch up to the extent there was. This would have been true after any replacement window installation.

The owners, Bill and Melissa, replaced all of the windows including Foyer window in my house with Pella Proline wood windows. They did a full tear versus window inserts.

Melissa performed the estimating and was very informative between the various options. We had gotten a quote directly from Pella in which they were going to do inserts. However, they did not inform us that with an insert you lose window glass in that process. Melissa explained when discussing options. When Bill and his crew showed up to perform the work they were right on time and very professional and friendly. Art, Bill's brother, lead the work effort with the crew and was very knowledgeable. They made sure to explain everything they were doing and also alerted me to issues with previous windows, described how they were going to correct and made sure I was happy with work performed. Bill is a customer first business owner and wants to make sure his customers are satisfied with the work. They even clean my chandelier in my two story foyer (without me asking) since they had scaffolding built and could reach it. The windows have been place about a week and we already noticed a big difference.

They did tremendous Clean Full-Tear out installation on casement windows in my kitchen and in my living room. They managed to tear out the old original windows from a house that was built in 1929, WITHOUT interfering with any existing plaster and wall paper surface. They replaced all of the millwork to match the existing millwork and did an excellent job cleaning up.

We had all new Windows installed in our house, which included complete tear out and installation of the new windows.

From start to finish complete professionalism. Mellisa was the Salesperson. She was exceptionally knowledgeable. She told you all the pros and cons of all the products she sales. There was no pressure at all. She cheerfully came back to answer question we came up with. They installed the windows in the time frame she told us. They came to install the windows and I have to say my house was as clean when they left as when they came. The installation was meticulous, Bill takes care of your house as if it were his own. I felt very comfortable with Bill his brother George and I'm sorry to say I don't remember the other two gentlemen's name, but who were just as professional and good at their jobs. Bill is absoutely the best, we had some other things we wanted done and the people he recommended turned out to be the best people for those jobs as well!! Also, I had a garage door installed a few years ago by another company which I just hated because of the way they finished it! Bill and his brother George fixed that problem and I can finally stand to look at that door!! That was an absolute Bonus!!!!!!! So needless to say I would trust these people to do anything in my home and would be very confident recommending them to anyone!!! I don't know about anyone else but rarely are you so happy with a job that you are happy to write out that last payment but this was genuinely the case! I would just like to wish them Good Luck in all they do, a great Company.

Installed three replacement windows on the third floor.

My experience was excellent from beginning to end. I needed three new windows on the third floor. The previous owners had replaced all of the windows in the house except these three. Unfortunately, the windows they had used are no longer available, and I had to spend a little more than I had hoped to get windows close enough in color and style to look right. Melissa was especially helpful in making suggestions about the options available to me and scheduling installation when I could take off work. She was particularly attuned to working with old houses and finding appropriate style windows. And Bill and his crew arrived right on time and finished their work on time as promised. The windows look and work great! The installation was perfect and everything left clean--in fact the carpet was probably cleaner when they left than when they arrived! I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone needing to replace old windows.

We had 21 windows replaced - full replacement with trim.

We could not have been happier with our choice of Window Installation Specialists to do our windows. We had talked with about 6 companies and got several estimates, but decided on this company due to the Kish's excellent knowledge, professionalism and attention to every detail. Melissa was prompt, courteous and answered every question we had and put us at ease right away that we had found the right company for our job.

The crew was always on time, extremely neat and the craftmanship was beyond our expectations. The wood trim and windows were of excellent quality and look so beautiful. They took great care to make sure nothing in the house would get broken during installation and cleaned all debris away immediately. Bill Kish always made sure we were satisfied and gave us good information on how to open, clean and take care of our windows and how to stain or paint them and even gave us the name of someone who can do that for us if we so choose.

I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have their windows installed by a company who really knows what they are doing. It was a pleasure to have them in our home.

We had seven Anderson windows with new screens replaced in our home.

Melissa came out for a free consult approx. 2 months ago. She was very knowledgeable and professional. She did not try to sell us vinyl windows to replace our wooden windows. She advised us on an Anderson Kit that would just replace our sashes and jams. This worked out great because we did not loose any glass on our windows. About 1.5 months ago her and her husband came out to measure and confirm our order. We gave them a down payment. Then yesterday two of their employees (Art and Dave) came out to install the new windows. Everything went smooth. Very nice people to work with. I highly recommend them.

Removed existing windows. Replaced 17 openings with Andersen double hung and casement windows with insulated glass, full screens and airspace grills. The work was completed as scheduled, clean-up was well done. The workers were pleasant and diligent. Follow-up was completed promptly and efficiently. We were pleased with the personal contacts and the installation.

They installed windows for our entire home.

I want to tell Window Installation Specialists thank you!  They are very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, with expert attention to detail.  Would highly recommend them for purchase and installation of windows.  My experience from beginning to end was excellent, too, from purchasing the windows and having them installed.

Window Installation Specialists of Pittsburgh replaced 16 windows in our home, as well as a new door to our deck.  The windows that we had installed were Pella Impervia fiberglass windows.

e had a wonderful experience with Bill and Melissa.  Melissa came out to the house in April to give us an estimate and to show us the window options that they offer.  Once we decided to use WISP, Bill & Melissa came out to take all of the measurements.  Bill even gave us a great suggestion to install casement windows instead of double hung windows on either side of our fireplace, which allow more sunlight in our living room.  Once the installation began (end of May/beg. of June), it took them 2-3 days to complete the job.  Bill and his crew were very punctual and extremely professional.  We also had to have lintels replaced on a couple of windows and they were able to suggest a brick layer that we were able to use to replace the lintels so that we would have worry free windows.  All of the windows look wonderful and we have had a significant decrease in our utility bills since they have been installed.

We had all of our windows replaced (10) with new screens in our split-entry home.

I obtained three estimates to replace our windows, and although Windows Installation was not the cheapest, they offered the best product and exactly what we wanted (beautiful Pella windows with brown trim on the outside and white trim on the inside), plus   Melissa Kish, the owner, was very knowledgeable about her products, and everyone involved was professional and courteous.  Melissa came out first to show me the windows, take initial measurements and provide an estimate.  Once we made a decision, she and her husband Bill, who also runs and works for the company, came out on the weekend to take final measurements.  We had our windows in about three to four weeks, and the installation took two days.  Bill led the crew and everyone was very nice and very professional.  The installers covered the area where they were working and cleaned up at the end of the day, plus it was raining for some of this time, and you would never know it.  We had also just had our driveway repaved, and they were careful not to park their truck on it.  All in all, my husband and I were very satisfied with the windows and the installation by Windows Installation, and it was a pleasure to work with Melissa.  We would definitely refer them, as well as use them again.

Overall, I am very satisfied with Window Installation Specialists of Pittsburgh (WISP), and I would not hesitate to hire them again for future windows/doors projects.

I called for an estimate last November.  They were professional; they answered all my questions, and they were not pushy.  (Note: Although I gave a B for the "price" category, it's more for the product (i.e., Marvin) and not really for the company.)

fter I decided to accept their bid, they came again in December to take measurements and work out some of the details. Again, they were professional and helpful.  They were especially helpful with picking out the right kind of grilles and divided lites to go with the style of the house. They estimated that the window installation would happen 7 weeks after, but that turned out to be a bit optimistic. but I was in no real hurry.

The installation team arrived last week. The entire job took two days.  The windows are nicely installed and the disturbance to the rest of the house was minimal. There are a few things I really appreciated about WISP. First, they are experienced and careful. They could tell that my old blinds wouldn't fit quite right with the new windows before putting the brackets back in, so they trimmed them slightly to make sure that everything fits afterward. Second, they are helpful and go above and beyond their responsibilities. One of my shutters fell down over the winter because the hinge broke. WISP offered to mount the shutter back up to the wall for me while they installed the windows. They didn't have to do that extra work, but they did it with a smile. Finally, overall, they are just *really* nice people, and that make them pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them!

They replaced 22 of our windows with Andersen windows.

I cannot begin to describe what wonderful experience it was from start to finish. Bill and his crew were always punctual and extremely professional. They were here for four days and after each day they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The other estimates we received from other companies never included a complete rip out and replacement with Andersen windows. The wood on our 50 year old windows were rotting and in very poor condition so we did not want to simply wrap the outside seals with aluminum like other companies said they would do. Bill said the bay window in our diningroom would probably have fallen out soon due to the severe rotting of the wood. Now, it looks amazing. The workmanship on the new molding they installed around the windows is great, too. I highly recommend Bill and Melissa to anyone who is considering having their windows replaced. It was a completely stress free experience.

Replaced all the windows (Anderson) which were about 35 years old with new, more energy efficient ones.

WISP showed up on time and completed the job, cleaned up, in about 4 hours.  They were very professional and pleasant to deal with.

eplaced 10+ double/triple/4 wide Anderson casement windows. Reused sills and interior trim as much as possible, replaced trim where unable to use old.

Melissa came to provide a quote for the windows shortly after my call. She is very knowledgeable and understood right away that I needed to maintain the look of our house and recommended which windows we should get to do that. Their pricing was very reasonable and the installation team was very professional, neat, and punctual. They worked with me to replace cherry interior trim which is not standard to match the look of the home.  They also recommended a painter/stainer that could finish the new interior trim and did a very nice job.

Mike and Jennifer R.

They replaced all of our casement windows.

We have used them twice, and I could not recommend them enough.  The workers were very knowledgeable, provided quality craftsmanship, and were easy to work with during the job.  Furthermore, they ordered and installed the Pella windows for half the price as opposed to us ordering from Pella directly.

They replaced the windows on the first and second floor of my home. It turned out really well.  They were always on time, they and did a neat job.  They also were able to honor the price they gave me on the quote.
